Chomper the Wallaby

We found a very young wallaby who was abandonded by its mother. We spent ages searching for the mother but it was nowhere to be seen. It was making calls to its mother except all the wrong wallablies were replying. They came to the baby wallaby but realised it wasn't theirs and started to harrass it and jump on it. We had to scare the others away because they would kill it if we didn't save it.

We called it Chomper because it is really timid and it needs to live up to its name.

We hope WIRES will look after Chomper.

Postscript: A local WIRES volunteer collected "Chomper" from the park. She assured us he was quite healthy, and should make a full recovery in his new adopted home.
