Silver Gumnut Award
Beachcomber Holiday Park has recently been awarded their Silver Gumnut.
The Gumnut Award is a certification program for holiday and residential parks that recognises a demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
The Gumnut Award program is a major initiative of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association and incorporates three stages of achievement: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
To obtain Silver, operators are required to develop an integrated Environmental Management Plan (EMP) which specifies their plans for the next 5 to 10 years, consistent with the 10 Gumnut catagories.
The owners and staff of Beachcomber Holiday Park will continue working on the implementation of their EMP, with a view to obtaining a Gold Gumnut Award within the next 12 months.
